When my husband and I first started dating, I had a habit of asking him to rank everything I cooked. Not because I needed validation (okay… maybe a little), but because I genuinely wanted to learn what he loved and what he could live without. Over time, certain meals kept rising to the top.
Anytime I make one of his absolute favorites, he’ll say something like, “Yep, that’s a top 10,” or “This might even be top five.” And honestly? That’s the highest compliment in our house.
So throughout this blog, if you see a recipe labeled Top 10 or Top 5, just know that it’s more than just good — it’s a tried-and-true favorite. These are the meals my husband asks for again and again, the ones that disappear fast, and the recipes that feel like home to us.
And while the name might say “Top 10” or “Top 5,” I’m always chasing the next favorite. I love experimenting in the kitchen, tweaking recipes, and seeing what might earn a spot on that list — which means this category will keep growing as we find new meals we can’t stop making.
If it’s in the Top 10, it’s been officially husband-approved
